ARMENIAN GAMPRS
The rare Armenian Gampr is an impressive blend of gentleness, discerning courage and immense formidable power. The Gampr is known for its independent thinking and calm, keep intellect. Historically, most were used as livestock guardian dogs giving today's Gampr the advantage of having over 14,000 years of hardwired natural instinct built right into them. This ancient landrace has survived wars, oppression, invasions, famines and disasters.
The gampr intensely bonds with their family and those it is charged with guarding, especially renowned for their love toward children. They will protect their family and livestock with their life but only after assessing the situation and deciding on an appropriate reaction. Native to historical Armenia, the gampr is an excellent, non-roaming LGD with a variety of phenotypes and temperaments to suit all types of farm protection needs.
